Last week, President Barack Obama signed an executive order designed to crack down on federal contractors who are violating labor laws and continuing to get federal money. Over the coming months, agencies will be drawing up regulations to implement the order, which requires companies to notify the government if they’ve violated any one of 14 different labor laws over the past three years. Lexy Kessler is a partner at the advisory firm Aronson LLC — she leads their government contracting practice.
