  • A new Congressional Data Coalition launches to push Capitol Hill into the big data era. The group says Congress could run better, give its staffers fewer headaches and provide a big public service if it changes its approach to data. Already, it has scored an initial victory. The House Appropriations Committee said by the beginning of the next Congress, information about the disposition of bills will be published in a way that computers can easily process, and thus can be easily reused by apps and websites.
