Working on Labor Day, incredible!!!

If you are working today, be advised a lot of people know what you are doing and appreciate it, says Senior Correspondent Mike Causey.

In some places, working on Labor Day is the equivalent of being stranded on a desert island for years, only to one day discover footprints in the sand. They are not yours, so you are not alone.

It worked for Robinson Crusoe.

Flash forward to today.  Hopefully you are reading this from your hammock, with drink of your choice in hand.  But since the 9/11 attacks more people in the security, health and safety fields are likely to be working.  It goes with the turf, the job and the world today.

Look at any newspaper front page any day. The bad news can be from Turkey. Or Illinois.  The terrorists can be over there or here in our backyard.

So, if you are off today, enjoy.  This is the latest Labor Day can be, and merchants from the beach to the mountains — and your home town — need it. And love it.

If you are working today be advised a lot of people know what you are doing. And why. And appreciate it.

Thanks and Happy Holiday from all of us at FederalNewsRadio.
