The General Services Administration is building an OnRAMP for its Federal Risk Authorization and Management Program. The GSA is working with MeriTalk to build the OnRAMP program. It’s designed to speed up the process of bringing federal agencies into the cloud. OnRAMP will be an online portal offering greater visibility into what cloud services are available to your agency. It will also notify agencies of potential new cloud systems in the future FedRAMP pipeline. Congressman Gerry Connolly is the ranking member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Government Operations. He says the OnRAMP program will provide valuable metrics and oversight as agencies ramp up their pace moving to the cloud. The Federal Times reports OnRAMP’s mission is to provide 360 degrees of visibility into the entire FedRAMP process.
