March 9, 2012 — How do recent legislative proposals affect federal officers’ benefits and pay?

This week on FEDtalk, host Debra Roth will be joined by Jon Adler, President of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, and Tony Vergnetti, President of Federal Employee Defense Services, to hear about current legislation impacting federal officers.

Adler and Vergnetti will break down bills such as:

  • the Officer Safety Act
  • a venue removal bill
  • proposed Federal Employees Compensation Act reforms that could retroactively cut benefits from law enforcement officers currently on disability
  • the Honest Budget Act, part of which proposes to freeze step increases for the remainder of the year
