Beyond the statistics: Law enforcment officer fatality rates in 2012

January 11, 2013 — Every year, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund releases its annual report on the past year’s officer fatality rates.

This week on “FEDtalk”, go behind the statistics as host Bill Bransford is joined by Craig Floyd, chairman and CEO of the Memorial Fund, and Kristen Mahoney and James Burch from the Office of Justice Programs at the Department of Justice.

They will discuss 2012 officer fatality rates, the factors that contribute to the numbers, and what the Memorial Fund and OJP are doing to decrease fatality rates in 2013.
