The Army is excited about its newest construct for figuring out what technology to buy and develop. Rather than leaving the design of new systems up to Pentagon planners, the Army is putting ideas that might have potential into the hands of soldiers, early and often. That’s the whole idea behind the Army’s Network Integration Evaluation, the NIE, at Fort Bliss, Texas.
