Revenues from the sale of natural resources collected on federal lands totaled more than $125 billion between 2003 and 2013. These revenues are made up mainly of royalties, bonuses and rents. Anyone can see all the data thanks to a new portal. It allows the public to see money made from the lease of federal lands for natural resource exploration and development. Deborah Gibbs Tschudy is the Deputy Director of the Office of Natural Resources Revenue. She joined the Federal Drive with Tom Temin to explain how it all works.
