The massive data breach impacting up to 14 million current and former federal employees, congressional staff and even contractors can be blamed partly on old technology. Time and again, the Office of Personnel Management tried to explain to House members yesterday that modern cybersecurity technologies don’t work well with decades-old systems. Federal News Radio’s executive editor Jason Miller was on Capitol Hill, where OPM and other agency executives were taken to task for the cyber breach.
