The Environmental Protection Agency's Cross-State Air Pollution Rule is aimed at reducing power plant emissions and protecting those downwind of the facilities from the nitrogen and sulfur fumes they generate. Stephanie Hogan is the acting team leader for interstate transport of air pollution in the EPA's Office of General Counsel, and one of the people responsible for enforcing that rule. For her work, she was named one of the 33 finalists for this year's Service to America Medals. She joined the Federal Drive with Tom Temin to explain more about her efforts, and the process for actually policing air pollution. View a photo gallery of all this year's Sammies finalists.
