5K run/walk kicks off Public Service Recognition Week
Rainy weather failed to dampen the spirits of participants in the Sunday, May 1, Public Service 5K Run/Walk at Anacostia Park in Washington, D.C. Proceeds benefited the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund, which helps civilian federal and postal employees via scholarships and emergency assistance. The event raised more than $300,000.
