Navy subs to be in use past retirement

The Navy may start using older submarines longer. The service branch was short in estimating the amount of attack subs it would need in the future. So now they may need to keep some of the older attack subs past their retirement date. DoD Buzz.com reports that the Navy says its sub fleet will grow smaller than its own acceptable minimum, which could force it to look for ways to keep boats serving longer.
