It will be several more years, at least, until first responders can access a nation-wide broadband network being built exclusively for them. It’s called the First Responder Network Authority, or FirstNet. Even with a $7 billion budget, the project has encountered a number of obstacles. Alan Tilles is the chairman of telecommunications at the law firm Shulman Rogers. He joined Tom Temin on the Federal Drive with more on FirstNet’s struggles.
