You’ve probably been taught that leaders who keep everyone working well together, without conflict, are the ones who are most successful. One management consultant disagrees. Damon Beyer is a senior executive advisor for Booz and Company, and he’s co-author of the book “The Right Fight: How Great Leaders Use Healthy Conflict to Drive Performance, Innovation, and Value.” He told Francis Rose today on In Depth that his research says a totally happy group of employees is a ticket to failure.
