Officials with the Veterans Administration admit there’s a well-documented need to better train its IT workers.

The VA has now launched five training centers designed to improve their IT staff.

Each Center has a seating capacity of 158 students per training session. The VA says the estimated average travel savings of sending participants to their local Training Center, as opposed to sending them to Washington, DC, is approximately $65,000 per five-day training session.

Terri Cinnamon and John Oswalt are with the VA’s Office of Information & Technology and say they offer security training, and much more.
