All this week, Federal News Radio brings you the first annual Causey Awards, honoring high-achieving performance in human capital management. The awards bear the name of our own Senior Correspondent Mike Causey, who has had a life-long dedication to federal workforce management issues. With that, we introduce today’s Causey winner – Susan Clayton. Susan planned on working for the federal government for only one year. That was 22 years ago! She’s figured out how to create leaders within the IRS: Instead of waiting for employees to step up, she found a way to expedite the “leadership creation” process.
