The plot thickens in the cyber attack on Wikileaks.
A group calling itself Anti-Leaks has now claimed responsibility for the denial-of- service attack, Government Computer News reports.
Anti-Leaks launched its attack just as Wikileaks began releasing information on a secret government surveillance program. Wikileaks got that information from the hacker group Anonymous, which hacked into an intelligence contractor last year.
Wikileaks says it is being flooded with more than 10 gigabits of simulated traffic per second from a wide variety of IP addresses. It says Antileaks must be in control of thousands of computers in order to wage this attack.
