Foreign Policy magazine reports that the Army and Marines are creating a process for front-line troops to request cyber weapons like they order artillery and air support.
Army officials said first they have to define what exactly is a cyber weapon or tactical fire in military-speak. It typically considers cyber on a larger, operational or strategic level.
But it wants even the smallest fighting unit to have cyber weapons if they need them. That means training is another major hurdle.
