Jared Serbu: DoD says building up military readiness is a top priority

The 2019 budget request the Pentagon rolled out this week makes rebuilding military readiness a top priority. Defense officials said each of the military services has its own readiness recovery plan, and they’re promising to be transparent with Congress about how things are going. A new “Readiness Recovery Framework” will lay out specific metrics, and the degree to which specific investments are helping. Federal News Radio’s Jared Serbu spoke on Federal Drive with Tom Temin about where things are heading.
