Guarding the president and the White House grounds might be the most visible and stressful assignment for the Secret Service. Somehow, Capt. Richard Macauley found ways to tighten operations, increase diversity, boost officer training and improve working conditions all while taking care of his own shift operations. Now, Capt. Macauley has been named the Secret Service’s Uniformed Division Officer of the Year, and he joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin in the studio.
