12 months of milestones for OPM cybersecurity

The Office of Personnel Management announced that the personally identifiable information (PII) of 4 million former and current federal employees may have been compromised by a major cyber-intrusion of its IT systems. OPM detected the intrusion using a comprehensive network monitoring plan developed with the Homeland Security Department.
