A coalition of IT industry associations are calling for a consistent set of global cybersecurity policies.

Representatives from Japan, Europe and the U.S. agreed to a set of cybersecurity recommendations for governments.

Danielle Kriz of the IT Industry Council, told Government Computer News that governments should establish strong cybersecurity policies and not strangle innovation with overly specific policies. Industry should be free to innovate and compete globally, she said.
