Food and Drug Commissioner Dr. Margaret Hamburg will be stepping down this week. She’s been on the job for nearly six years. The former New York City public health commissioner has had an eventful career in Washington. The compounding pharmacy scare and passage of a major reform bill are just a couple of the big episodes.
