  • Coming off an ignominious year in which Congress allowed a government shutdown, came close to a debt default, and passed the fewest number of meaningful bills in decades, it is tempting to conclude that 2014 won’t be any different…or will it? Bloomberg Government’s Director of Legislative Analysis Loren Duggan joins the program to discuss what we should expect from the gang on Capitol Hill.
  • The budget deal passed by Congress before the holidays set a new limit of $487,000 for an individual’s total annual compensation that could be reimbursed under certain types of federal contracts. Was it a planned move to get the budget to go through last year? Bloomberg Government Congressional Analyst Stacy O’Mara will explain the ins and outs of “Contract Compensation Cap May Have Limited Reach”, a BGOV Insight.
