Joseph Mueller directed the efforts to stop the collapse of an endangered dam in New York. Mueller devised and implemented a unique plan that brought federal, state and local governments together to save the dam and the populations that would have been affected.
“We had no idea how much time we had and there was a lot of emotion wondering if this was going to work,” Ann Miles, director of FERC’s Office of Energy Projects, said. “Joseph Mueller took his experience and his knowledge of dams to think through the problem and find a solution that was successful.”
