Kimya Lee and the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey Team Management Excellence Finalist

Kimya Lee has spent the past five years improving not only the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey itself, but the accessibility of the data and how that information is used across the government. She has worked to provide easy-to-understand reports and recommendations down to the office manager level to help improve employee engagement within the federal government.
Kimya’s “signature accomplishment is expanding the reach of the survey so it’s now viewed as a management tool across the government,” said Jonathan Foley, OPM’s director of Planning and Policy Analysis. “Our biggest asset is the people we employ. The extent to which they’re engaged in their work and satisfied with their work environment has a direct effect on productivity in the workforce.”
