This week on BGOV’s Capital Impact show hosted by Allen Scott:

  • Bloomberg Government Senior Technology Analyst Sanford Reback recently wrote Cybersecurity Framework Leaves Issues Unresolved. In this BGOV Insight he raised several concerns companies have about the voluntary framework becoming mandatory requirements from NIST. There may also be a bit of hesitation on behalf of companies not willing to take the advice of another government entity regarding technology given the success of www.healthcare.gov.

In this program Allen is joined by Kiersten Todt, President of Liberty Group Ventures, the company tapped to consult NIST on their framework recommendation. Her job was to ensure that corporations and the general public would be comfortable with the roll out. How did they come to the conclusions made in the document? Were they well informed in the decisions that were made? Will this eventually become a law? You’ll get those answers and many more on this weeks Capital Impact.
